Guided tour along the Rapallo border
Soriška planina, a true highland beauty, offers a wide range of activities throughout the year. Spectacular views of the Julian Alps and surrounding peaks were combined to deliver to you a unique excursion along the trails of the old Rapallo border.
The tour starts on the parking lot next to the Brunarica cabin on Soriška planina (1,287m). We will reach the top of mount Lajnar (1,549m) by the two-seat chairlift Lajnar, and then by observing military structures and fortifications we will continue our way over stabilized mule tracks to the peaks of Slatnik, the barracks on Kor and the cast iron observation post on mount Možic. During an enjoyable walk with breath-taking views you will listen to the stories of the past and about the lives of people who lived at the border, and after the tour a warm home-made stew and an appetizer will welcome you at the Brunarica guesthouse.
